iTunes "Heavy Rotation" list for November 2004

A smart playlist in iTunes tracks the playcounts of the songs I've added to my collection in the last 100 days. The list gives a quick peek into the music that I've recently discovered (or rediscovered).

The Top 10 tracks on the Heavy Rotation list this month indicate a general old-school trend in my listening tastes:
  1. "Dog Eat Dog" Adam & the Ants
  2. "When the Trickster Starts A-Pokin'" Gogol Bordello
  3. "Lies" J.J. Cale
  4. "Don't Wait Too Long" Madeleine Peyroux
  5. "Banishment of Love" The M's
  6. "The Way We Get By" Spoon
  7. "Man in the Long Black Coat" Bob Dylan
  8. "Heroes and Villains" Brian Wilson
  9. "Satellite of Love" Lou Reed
  10. "Saturday Night" Ozomatli
What will happen next month? Will alternativo rock make a roaring comeback, or will it be overtaken by holiday crooning? I love to get tips from fellow music lovers, so please send 'em in.
